Terms and Conditions Jasiri Safaris

Welcome to Jasiri Safaris ("we," "us," "our"). By accessing our website, making a booking, or participating in any safari or tour operated by Jasiri Safaris, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Booking and Contract

A binding contract between you and Jasiri Safaris is formed when:

You complete the booking form, and

We receive your deposit or full payment, and

We send you a written booking confirmation.

All bookings are subject to these Terms and Conditions.

You confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent to book.

2. Payments, Deposits, and Fees

Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of [insert percentage, e.g., 30%] of the total trip cost is required to confirm your booking.

Final Payment: Full payment must be received no later than [e.g., 60 days] before the departure date.

Late Bookings: Bookings made within [e.g., 30 days] of departure require full payment at the time of booking.

Currency: All prices are quoted in [e.g., USD / Tanzanian Shillings] unless otherwise stated.

Price Changes: We reserve the right to adjust prices due to changes in government taxes, park fees, fuel costs, or exchange rates. Any increase will be communicated to you at least [e.g., 30 days] before travel.

3. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellation by You:

Time before departure Refund (excluding deposit)

60+ days Full refund minus deposit

30–59 days 50% of total trip cost

15–29 days 25% of total trip cost

0–14 days No refund

No-shows, unused services, or early departure from a trip are not refundable.

Travel insurance is strongly recommended to cover cancellation due to illness, injury, or other unforeseen events.

Cancellation by Us:

We reserve the right to cancel a trip due to insufficient bookings, safety concerns, natural disasters, political instability, or other force majeure events.

In such cases, you may choose:

A full refund of all payments made, or

Transfer to an equivalent future trip (subject to availability).

4. Changes to Itinerary

We strive to follow the published itinerary, but changes may occur due to weather, road conditions, wildlife movements, park regulations, or other operational needs.

We reserve the right to substitute accommodations or routes with comparable alternatives without prior notice.

No refunds or compensation will be provided for itinerary changes necessary for safety or logistical reasons.

5. Travel Insurance – Mandatory

You are required to have comprehensive travel insurance that covers:

Medical expenses and emergency evacuation

Trip cancellation and interruption

Lost or stolen baggage

Personal liability

You must provide proof of insurance upon request. Jasiri Safaris is not liable for any costs arising from your failure to secure adequate insurance.

6. Health and Safety

You are responsible for your own health and fitness to travel.

You must disclose any medical conditions, allergies, disabilities, or special needs at the time of booking.

We reserve the right to refuse service or remove a participant from a trip if, in our reasonable judgment, their health or behavior poses a risk to themselves or others.

Recommended vaccinations and malaria prophylaxis should be discussed with a travel doctor before departure.

7. Liability and Assumption of Risk

Safari travel involves inherent risks, including but not limited to: wildlife encounters, rough roads, remote locations, limited medical facilities, and unpredictable weather.

You assume all such risks voluntarily.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jasiri Safaris and its employees, guides, partners, and affiliates shall not be liable for:

Personal injury, illness, or death

Loss, damage, or theft of personal property

Delays, inconveniences, or expenses caused by force majeure (including natural disasters, political unrest, strikes, pandemics, or acts of government)

Our maximum liability is limited to the total amount you paid to us for the applicable trip.

8. Guest Conduct

You agree to follow the instructions of your guide at all times, especially regarding safety, wildlife viewing, and park rules.

Disruptive, reckless, illegal, or disrespectful behavior (including toward local communities, staff, or wildlife) may result in immediate removal from the trip without refund.

You are responsible for any damage you cause to vehicles, accommodations, or equipment.

9. Photography and Marketing

We may take photographs or videos during trips for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes.

By participating, you grant Jasiri Safaris a perpetual, royalty-free license to use your likeness in such materials unless you notify us in writing before the trip.

No compensation will be provided for such use.

10. Our Impact Partners – Counseling Credit System

Every booking with Jasiri Safaris directly funds professional counseling sessions for local women through our Counseling Credit system.

This contribution is built into the trip price and is not refundable or separable from the total cost.

We do not share your personal health or counseling data with third parties. The privacy of both guests and impact partners is protected separately under our Privacy Policy.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tanzania.

Any dispute arising from or related to your safari or these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation.

If unresolved, the dispute shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Arusha, Tanzania in accordance with Tanzanian arbitration rules.

Alternatively, either party may seek relief in the courts of Arusha, Tanzania, to which you irrevocably consent.

12. Limitation on Claims

Any claim against Jasiri Safaris must be made in writing within 30 days of the end of your trip.

No claim shall be brought more than six (6) months after the trip ends.

13. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. The latest version will be posted on our website with the effective date. Bookings are governed by the Terms in effect at the time of booking.
