Tarangire National Park

Tarangire National Park is one of Tanzania’s most important wildlife destinations, famous for its massive elephant populations, giant baobab trees, and seasonal wildlife migrations. Although often overshadowed by Serengeti and Ngorongoro, Tarangire delivers one of the most productive dry-season safari experiences in northern Tanzania.
The park is defined by the Tarangire River, a permanent water source that attracts large concentrations of wildlife during the dry season. As surrounding areas lose water, animals migrate into the park in large numbers, creating dense wildlife activity and exceptional game viewing conditions.
Tarangire is particularly valued for its quieter atmosphere, scenic landscapes, and strong elephant encounters.
