Gombe National Park is one of Tanzania’s most unique wildlife destinations, internationally recognized for chimpanzee trekking and groundbreaking primate research. Located along the shores of Lake Tanganyika in western Tanzania, the park offers a completely different safari experience compared to traditional savannah ecosystems.
Dense tropical forests, steep valleys, mountain landscapes, and lakeshore scenery create an environment focused on rainforest exploration and close primate interaction rather than vehicle-based game drives.
The park became globally famous through the research work of Jane Goodall, whose long-term chimpanzee studies transformed global understanding of animal intelligence and social behavior.
