Lake Manyara National Park

Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania’s most scenic and ecologically diverse safari destinations, known for its tree-climbing lions, large flamingo populations, groundwater forests, and dramatic landscapes along the Great Rift Valley escarpment.
Although smaller than many other parks in Tanzania’s northern safari circuit, Lake Manyara offers a highly concentrated and visually diverse safari experience. The park combines forest ecosystems, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, hot springs, and the alkaline Lake Manyara itself within a relatively compact area.
Its landscape diversity allows travelers to experience multiple ecosystems and wildlife habitats within a short period of time, making it an excellent introduction to Tanzania safaris.
